The Pleasant Grove Eagles had a Great
season opener game against Davis High School. Pleasant Grove High School is Currently
Ranked 60 in the state by MaxPreps.
Isaiah Crushed a hit to right field, that
hung in the air king enough to be caught at the fence. Definitely
showing that he is a power hitter that will produce runs, or base
running after tag up, if the bases are occupied.
The two teams battled each other with Davis taking the initial lead by 2 to zero.
Isiah was able to produce 2 runs to tie
the game , the first run was produced by again crushing one towards left
field that the center fielder was tracking at full speed, but could not
handle. Isiah than hit a hard dribbler that
went past the shortstop, which produced a run as well.
Please Grove was able to
load the bases in the 8th inning, which included a hit by Isiah.
Shane Elner was able to hit the ball towards second, which produced one
out, but Davis was not able to tag him out at First. Teddy reached home
plate, producing the willing play.
A great opener to watch, validating Isiah's value to the team and the strength of Pleasant Grove Baseball.
To cap off such a great game, the Head
Coach from Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT)was in the stands,
approached Isiah after the game and made him an offer to play baseball
at OIT.
Hopefully, this is the beginning of great things to come.
